HOW WE SEND
A BETTER WAY TO SEND
Jesus used the words "Sent" or "Sending" over 40 times in the gospel of John. Sending was important to Him because it was how He would spread the word about this new life in this new kingdom. But it was also the means by which His people would experience the depths of the two things we long for most...a life of transcendent meaning and purpose and a life of ever-deepening one-ness with the Father.
By sending us to labor alongside the Father in the places and ways He designed for us long ago,(Eph. 2:10) we get to see Him show up, working in us, through us and around us. We get to hear His voice guiding us, encouraging us and experiencing His perfect, unconditional love all along the way. That develops intimacy. That give us the purpose we long to have. That is the abundant life.
This is the guiding principle behind our I am Sent discipleship course. The promise of that love and purpose is the motivation behind why and how we send. (You can read the Introduction here.) We don't want you to miss out.
SENDING WELL
STEP 1 of 2

In Luke 15 Jesus tells three parables back to back to back. He wanted us to know, in no uncertain terms, that God is a Father who pursues, pursues and pursues the lost. Jesus modeled that as well. He didn't wait for people to come to him at the temple. It's why He went and why he was intentional with sending his followers.
People who are sent well, who grow in intimacy with the Father and who make disciples, have laid hold of a few necessary things. One, as already mentioned, they know the specific, good works God designed for them long ago (Eph.2:10). In other words, they have sought the Lord about their kingdom calling and now have missional focus. How we help you discern those good works has a lot to do with discovering who He created you to be.
The I am Sent Discipleship Workbook is a six session, discipleship course that gives you insight into your God-given gifts, skills, passions, personality and strengths. It also helps you explore the story God has written for your life in such a way that reveals the greater story He's bidding you to join Him in. As a result, and what's unique about this course is, you're sent with a God-given mission statement YOU'RE passionate about. Ultimately, this course leaves you feeling developed and valued for how God made you and better prepared for the intimate adventure that lies ahead.
STEP 2 of 2
Once you know your mission, there are still two crucial things you'll need in order to personally see God's kingdom advance. The first is a "Team" of like-minded others. No one does well on mission alone. It's why Jesus sent the disciples out two by two. We need others with the same or similar calling to encourage us, share ideas, help us plan, pray and to remind us of the mission God gave us. If you can't find a Team through your church or in your community you can join or create a Virtual Team by clicking below or on Facebook here.
The second thing you'll need is some ongoing training and coaching. Wouldn't it be great if you could ask a question from time to time to someone who has experience in your mission? We got you covered. You can find Help For Your Mission in our Forums.

CREATING MISSIONAL CULTURE IN YOUR CHURCH OR MINISTRY
There's something powerful about a public profession or declaration. You're driving a stake. That's one of the reasons why we recommend our I am Sent Church/Ministry Web Tool. It gives your members who've gone through the "I am Sent" course a place to publicly declare where God has called them to advance His kingdom. It also lets the rest of your members know how to pray for and encourage them. They'll need that to stay consistent, on mission and eventually bearing fruit. Additionally, it sets the bar for the rest of your church or organization. When everyone can see that others are engaged, it helps elicit a "me too" response. That has the power to change a culture of consumers to Sent Ones.

Not only that, but our web tool can also help you promote, manage and even coach all the missional activity in your church/ministry. Your members can now search for and find others with the same or similar kingdom calling. They can team up to plan, pray, share ideas and encourage one another. Bottom line, this gives you the ability to organically create missional community. (see screenshots below)
