The I am Sent Facilitators Guidebook has a lot of information and tips for gathering and launching a course group but we didn't include possible emails you could send.  We did it here so you could easily cut, paste and edit.  There are three different options below:

 

OPTION 1

I hope you’re well! I'm writing because I want to see if you would pray about taking the "I am Sent" discipleship course. Have you heard of it?
I'm passionate about it because it helps people experience their two greatest desires. Now, you're probably wondering, "How does he know my greatest desires?" No, I haven't tapped your phone or read your journal. I know them because they're the same two God gave everyone. The first one is you want to be fully known and still be fully loved. In other words, you want to know and experience no strings attached, unconditional love. Your other desire is this. You want to know your life counts. In other words, you want to know it has transcendent purpose and meaning. God put those two desires at the top of all our lists because He wanted us to seek them out and to ultimately find them satisfied in Him. The reason being, He made us for Himself, to be in union with Him.

What's even more fascinating is that He intended for those two desires to go hand in hand. See, the disciplines of the Christian faith, prayer, Bible study, worship, etc can only take us so far. In order to lay hold of the "abundant life" Jesus promised, we must engage in the kingdom works He designed for each of us long ago.(Eph.2:10) For when we're making disciples alongside Him in the places and in the way God intended for us it opens up a whole other realm of intimacy and transcendent meaning for our lives.

The purpose of the course is to help you discern where and how He intended for you to do that. The course is six weeks and is 90 minutes each time we meet. Don’t worry if you can’t make it every time due to prior commitments. We can make them up as we go.

OPTION 2

Dear ,

I wanted to see if you would be interested in taking the I am Sent course starting ____________________. I have _____ people who've expressed interest so far.

If I haven't talked with you about it the purpose of the course is to help someone discern and effectively engage in the kingdom purposes God has for them at this phase of your life. My hope is that people will come away with a better understanding of how the intimacy we desire with the Father is in large part tied directly to the great commandment and the great commission. Living those out in a fallen world places us in a position to see Him show up. To see His power and purposes working in and through us. To experience the joy and fellowship that comes with laboring alongside our triune God.

If you who already know the "what/who" of where God would have you minister, the course could be beneficial to you in the "how". In other words, how has God uniquely wired you to carry out that mission.

OPTION 3

I hope you're well! I'm writing because I wanted to see if you'd be interested in participating in the "I am Sent" Discipleship course. The course is designed to help someone discover the kingdom work(s) God planned for them long ago (Eph. 2:10). Often times we tell people just jump in and serve somewhere without helping them discover the where and the how that God had in mind for them. That can lead to some bad ministry fits and frustration.

The course is six weeks. You'll learn a lot about how God designed you which coincides with where and how He would have you make disciples. We're planning on starting next month. If you're interested let me know and we'll get you a workbook. There are a few things to do before the first session.
